Sellers plant your gardens!!

Get your Gardens on!!….Guess what sellers…buyers are looking for gardens when they purchase homes. YES, they look for raised beds or garden space in side or back yards when they make their decisions to purchase a home.

SOOOO, here are some tips.

1. If you don’t have gardening space (condo), do a raised bed on your balcony or patio.

2. Lack sunny areas? Buy an inexpensive grow light..they really do work! I started my tomato/basil/beets/beans from seed this winter and they all grew into beautiful producing plants!

3. Think you don’t have a green thumb?…Believe me, gardening can seem daunting at first but eventually you will get the hang of it. Be patient, first crop may be a bust but once you get the hang of it, you will be growing cucumbers (our Cleveland soil is wonderful for cucs), tomatoes, garlic, beans, beets, etc. in NO TIME.

Some pics of my plants…(my best tomatoes where grown in a pot this year BTW). I just made a pesto from my basil leaves and added home grown tomotoes and cucs…SO good and healthy for you…(minus the parmesan cheese!)

Pesto:

*3/4 cup Olive Oil (this varies with the kind of Pesto consistancy you prefer)
*fill up the food processor with Basil leaves (i even throw in the stems)
*1 cup pine nuts
*1/2 cup parmesan cheese (not healthy but i love cheese)

BLEND in the food processor and add some salt/pepper for taste….

Serve with vegetables (celery sticks are great with pesto)…

ENJOY!!
